Posture In Communication – Increases The Power Of Your Voice

Have you ever picked up the phone and started speaking and found that your voice felt stuck or too quiet after sitting down for a while?

Good posture can make all the difference in communication.

When you carry your body well you are able to have more body strength to produce powerful voice tonality that will make you stand out and be heard.

To have a stronger voice you must use your whole body. If you are sitting and crouching over a computer, a phone, or another device and you want to use your voice, you should first stand and move your body around to generate more power and energy. Then it will be easier to speak out.

“The only reason to master this technique is to be sure the body does not interfere with the soul’s free expression.”La Meri

Research at Harvard and Columbia Business Schools shows that by holding your body in an expansive way, (leaning back with hands behind your head and your feet up on a desk, or standing with your legs and arms stretched wide open) for as little as two minutes stimulates higher levels of testosterone. And testosterone is the hormone linked to power and dominance. This posture also leads to lower levels of cortisol, which is a stress hormone.
